Account Development Associate
Job Description
DESCRIPTION
The Account Development Associate position entails the development,
cultivation, and closure of new sales leads from many sources.
This position requires great people skills, interaction with SBTI
personnel, executives and owners, and adherence to established
SBTI Sales Processes and use of CRM Systems.
The role will be challenging, demanding, creative, and diverse
but is essential to the future success of the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are essential job responsibilities:
- Fields inbound sales leads, converts and cultivates sales
leads into strong prospects, create opportunities for in-person
sales calls with key company decisions makers and important
leaders in targeted segment markets; conducts appropriate follow-up
on all sales leads, and supports the VP of business Development
in follow-up activities.
- Creates sales leads by designing, developing and managing
outbound campaigns; closes small to medium deployment and consulting
activity; constructs proposals, and monitors the results of
proposals submitted to clients; conveys in all verbal and written
work the SBTI brand and value proposition.
- Maintains SBTI’s CRM; collaborates with CFG to follow
all SBTI procedures; interacts with SBTI leaders and all levels
within the organization both internally and with external contractors;
works cooperatively with Marketing Communications, Technology,
the President and others involved in identifying, soliciting,
cultivating and closing sales.
- Participates in all appropriate conferences, seminars, meetings,
and personal development in order to not only support the needs
of the organization, but also continually develop their own
knowledge and skill; develops and manages projects as necessary
at the request of managers and leaders within the organization.
EXPECTATIONS
- Add Minimum $1M/year in new consulting and/or license revenue
to SBTI in 12 months.
- Improve SBTI’s representation (bid packages) for program
deployment opportunities.
SKILLS REQUIRED
| Minimum Education: |
Bachelor’s Degree in Sales/Marketing/Business
Administration or Finance; Green Belt Certified from reputable
Six Sigma deployment; 8-10 years experience in Sales. |
| Mental Demands: |
High degree of reading, writing and verbal skills; High
level of organizational and managerial skills; Able to prepare,
manage and report against a budget and other financial measures;
Ability to perform effectively in public speaking; skilled
in building relationships; Good short/long term memory. |
| Compensation: |
A combination of base salary plus an incentive based on
gross margin targets |
| Working Conditions: |
Willing and able to travel as needed both locally and nationally
up to 50% of time; Able to and willing to seek input and collaboration
with others; Inside: 80% |
