SBTI & Tyco Announce International relationship
Return to Press Releases
San Marcos, Texas, August 10, 2006 - Sigma Breakthrough Technologies,
Inc., an international business process solutions consulting firm
is proud to announce the expansion of the SBTI & Tyco International
relationship.
Increasingly, Six Sigma has become the foundation of Tyco’s
language and culture. While initial efforts in 2003 began in the
manufacturing environment, Tyco has expanded to more transactional
areas of the company, such as sales, service and product development.
In 2004, Tyco trained approximately 2,400 employees globally and
the Six Sigma teams completed nearly 1,100 projects. Programs
that have been customized and delivered for Tyco include: Executive
Training; Champion Training; Operations Green Belt & Black
Belt; Transactional Green Belt & Black Belt; Design for Six
Sigma; Lean Product Development for Six Sigma; Lean Leader and SBTI’s
Master Black Belt Training program. Programs have been delivered
in the United States; United Kingdom; Ireland; France; Germany;
Italy; Mexico; China; Korea; Japan and Singapore. These efforts
generated approximately $270 million of net savings in 2004 alone.
Rob Vreeland, Master Black Belt, of Tyco commented: "At
the signing of their contract with SBTI (Summer of 2003) Tyco's
Ed Breen set a $1Billion goal for Six Sigma alone (not all of
Operations Excellence) to be achieved by the end of fiscal year
2006 --- that's September. They just surpassed their $1Billion
goal."
