SBTI’s Founder Steve Zinkgraf was heavily involved in the flagship Six Sigma deployment at Motorola during the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. From 1994 to 1996, Steve led the initial deployment of Six Sigma in AlliedSignal’s (now Honeywell) Engineered Materials Sector delivering large financial benefits in the program’s first 12 months. After leaving AlliedSignal, Steve started SBTI with a passion for delivering results that made a difference in other companies.

In 1997, one month after opening corporate offices in San Marcos, TX, Polaroid became the first key client. In October of that same year, SBTI added Invensys and their complete worldwide deployment program through power systems. They were soon to be followed by a number of clients in 1998 such as Johnson & Johnson, Paccar, FMC, Iomega, and OSRAM-Sylvania. Clients served to date.
