SBTI, a global management consulting firm specializing in the deployment of powerful business and process improvement methodologies, announced today that Jim Longshore has been appointed Vice President.  In this role, Mr. Longshore will work closely with clients on strategic execution to help accelerate their vision of transforming the organization.

Jim, a Lean Six Sigma and Operational Excellence veteran previously served in this capacity for 7 years.  He brings over 10 years of consulting experience advising organizations on operational excellence deployments.  Jim has spent the bulk of his last 25 years applying Lean and Six Sigma techniques to Operational excellence (OPEX), product and process design (DFSS) and has assisted 75+ companies in this very endeavor. Jim’s clients have ranged from 40-person life science startup to a Fortune 10 global manufacturer. 

Prior to SBTI Jim worked for 10 years in Manufacturing and then led the global quality and six sigma initiatives within a global pump manufacturer (Grundfos: Peerless Pump Brand) and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.  This experience allowed Jim to expand the application of Lean and Six Sigma to transactional processes.  Jim holds an MBA and was part of the SBTI wave 6 MBB program while at Trane.

Jim has experience leading Product Design, Process Design, and both Lean and Six Sigma projects. He has expertise with launching full OPEX deployments within organizations in the following industries: Basic Materials, Consumer Goods and Services, Energy Equipment and Services, Financials, Health Care, and Industrials.
